Carl Smith
Carl Smith is the Founder of 180 Financial Consulting, LLC. He has been the owner of several businesses and has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. While affiliated with American Express Financial Advisors, he received the President’s Recognition Award for Quality of Advice for 5 straight years as well as receiving Client Satisfaction scores of 96% and 100% for the two years his clients were surveyed.
Carl graduated with honors in 1976 from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Banking and Finance. He received a Professional Financial Planner designation in 1988 from the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education and Canon Financial Institute. He recently received the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation from the College for Financial Planning.
Carl holds Series 7 and Series 66 Security licenses as well as Life, Health, and Variable Annuity licenses and a Real Estate License.
Carl has been very involved in the life of his church all of his adult life. This includes serving as deacon, treasurer and being involved in many mission projects. He has served as director of the Upward Basketball program at Burlington Baptist Church since its beginning in 1997. He is a Member Care volunteer for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. He also serves on the board of Quest Farm, a residential farm for mentally handicapped adults in Georgetown, KY, and is a volunteer for Special Olympics.
He and his wife, Lynn, have two married sons and five grandchildren.
